Lockdown Security Services provide specially trained guard dogs, they can be active or passive. They will allow your officials to deal with detections as and when they see fit.
In addition to this, we also have dual purpose dogs, which are trained in both personal item search and protection. All specialists dogs are trained by accredited training instructors.
The combination of security guards/dog handlers and security dogs are the ideal choice:
- To patrol areas with a restricted line-of-site (large construction projects, warehouses, transport yards).
- For areas too dangerous for security guards alone (gang related problems, underground parking, high crime areas etc).
- For protection of persons, property and people under threat (bailiffs etc)
Security dogs are trained to pick up on intruders or hidden persons by, scent, sight or sound, to protect their handler by standing their ground and showing controlled aggression. When confronted with threatening behaviour they are able to detain a suspect until the authorities arrive to deal with the situation.

Our Guard Dog Patrols represent the highest level of canine training.
Our dogs are under the control of the dog handler at all times. Their function is to alert our handler of any human intruder and protect the handler where necessary. An experience dog patrol unit can be equally effective as up to five static security. not only providing a visual deterrent, dogs have powerful hearing and scent senses and are able to search and find human presence better than up to five static guards. Guard dogs are invaluable in searching and securing large areas.
